Helping the poorest of the poor

Helping the poorest of the poor

Martina

The C14 Foundation is a nonprofit private organization founded in 2018 by Martina Molsbergen Tamaro, CEO, C14 Consulting Group, LLC, with the sole mission of serving the poorest of the poor by cultivating substantive methods and ideas that drive lasting solutions for meeting the basic needs of food, water, good health, and shelter.

Not only does The C14 Foundation fund humanitarian projects directly, it oversees them closely to ensure their success. The Foundation also troubleshoots and builds successful and reproducible working program models that can be replicated by others. The C14 Foundation targets regions with severe malnutrition and insufficient social remedies.

How can you help us cultivate self-sustainability in these tremendously impoverished communities? Contact us to get involved or donate now.

What inspired the name The C14 Foundation?

C14 stands for a radioactive form of the carbon atom. You may recognize the name because it’s used when scientists carbon date ancient findings. The reason it can be used to date things from thousands of years ago is because the carbon-14 atom is present in all life forms and its half-life is over 5,700 years. That’s a long time.

C14 is produced in the upper layers of the troposphere and stratosphere by cosmic rays and it is also produced by lightning bolts. It is the key element and fusion for all plant photosynthesis. Without C14, all plant life would cease to exist.

Plants absorb the carbon-14 that’s naturally in our environment, and animals and people eat those plants, which ensures that every living thing shares the same percentage of C14. The idea that we’re all connected, we all contain a little of the same atomic material, is at the heart of our mission to help one another. This is a very simplified explanation of C14; for more information, click here.
